Pasifik Masami is committed to protecting marine resources, managing the environmental impact of its production activities, and supporting local communities in Banyuwangi.
Seafood processing depends on the availability of marine resources. At Pasifik Masami, maintaining product quality also means paying attention to how these resources are used. We recognize that the long-term future of the seafood industry depends on healthy marine ecosystems and production practices that consider their environmental impact.

Pasifik Masami considers the origin of its fish and the fishing practices used by suppliers as part of its efforts to protect marine resources.
We prioritize sourcing fish from vessels and suppliers that comply with fisheries regulations. Catch origin information is reviewed to reduce the risk of sourcing fish from illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing activities.
We support fishing methods that help reduce bycatch and their impact on marine habitats. The fishing practices used by our suppliers are also considered when sourcing raw materials.
Records of raw material origins and production history help us trace products when necessary. This information also supports investigations if issues are identified with incoming fish or finished products.

Pasifik Masami works to reduce waste from its fish canning operations while improving water and energy efficiency throughout production.
Wastewater generated during production is treated through a wastewater treatment system before discharge. The treatment process is intended to meet applicable effluent quality standards.
Fish by-products from production are used to produce fishmeal for animal feed. This helps reduce the amount of solid waste requiring disposal.
Electricity and water consumption are managed according to operational needs throughout the canning process, including sterilization. These efforts help reduce unnecessary resource use.
Seafood processing is closely connected to the livelihoods of coastal communities. We aim to ensure that our operations also benefit people living near our facility in Banyuwangi.

We work with local fishers to source raw materials for production. Fish purchases are based on agreed prices and supply requirements.

Our processing and factory operations create employment opportunities for people in Banyuwangi. We also pay attention to workplace health and safety in our daily operations.

We work with coastal communities on educational activities focused on keeping the ocean clean and reducing plastic waste, particularly along beaches and surrounding coastal areas.

Alongside environmental considerations, we apply food safety standards throughout production to meet domestic and export market requirements.
Our processing facility follows hygiene and quality control procedures based on the HACCP system. These procedures support compliance with applicable food safety requirements.
Our products are packed in metal cans that can be recycled after use. Actual recycling depends on the collection systems and recycling facilities available in each market.
