Our Commitment to Food Safety

PT. Pasifik Masami Indonesia

Quality Control Throughout Production

Pasifik Masami applies quality control and hygiene measures throughout seafood processing to maintain product safety and consistency.

Our processing facility in Ketapang, Banyuwangi, produces seafood for domestic and export markets. Production procedures follow applicable food safety requirements and product specifications for each destination market, with inspections carried out before distribution.

Product Certifications and Standards

Pasifik Masami works to meet applicable food safety, halal, and export market requirements. Certification and registration requirements vary depending on the product and destination market.

Halal Certification

Products covered by halal certification must meet requirements for ingredients and production processes. Compliance checks are conducted according to the scope of the relevant certification.

HACCP Certification

HACCP helps identify and control potential food safety hazards during production. Pasifik Masami's facility holds HACCP certification for canned sardines and mackerel.

FDA Facility Registration

Food facility registration with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is a regulatory requirement for facilities supplying certain food products to the United States. Registration does not mean the FDA has certified or approved the facility or its products.

Dolphin Safe

Dolphin-safe standards address the fishing methods used to catch tuna and their impact on dolphins. Compliance involves specific fishing requirements and documentation of tuna catches.

Our Quality
Control Process

Quality control begins with raw material inspection and continues through final product checks. Each stage follows specific procedures to maintain food safety and product quality before distribution.

Incoming fish is checked for physical condition and temperature before processing. Raw materials that do not meet quality requirements are not used in production.

Raw Material Inspection

Fish is cleaned and prepared before being packed into cans. Throughout production, employees follow the facility’s hygiene and sanitation procedures.

Hygienic Processing

Once sealed, the cans undergo heat treatment in a retort under controlled time and temperature conditions. This process is designed to achieve commercial sterility and maintain product safety throughout the specified shelf life.

Commercial Sterilization (Retorting)

Product samples undergo incubation and inspection after sterilization to check their stability. The results are used to verify that products meet the required standards before shipment.

Incubation & Final Inspection

Our Quality Assurance (QA) team monitors production procedures and reviews inspection results. When any issues are identified, the findings are used to determine corrective actions and help prevent similar problems from recurring.
